New Products

We NPR New Product Business Development Department are continually developing products for the future with the core technologies we have cultivated in development and production of engine functional components.
We continuously provide technologies that meet the needs of our customers.

Introduction of new product business (only available in Japanese)

New Nickel-Free Biomaterial "NiFreeT"

NPR-developed alloy for medical use which is made of titanium, tantalum and tin.
It features biocompatibility, low Young's modulus and high corrosion resistance.
As it is nickel-free, it does not cause allergic reactions.
Since this is non-magnetic material, it can be used in MRI, and has high X-ray impermeability.

Axial Gap Motors

This motor has a structure in which the air gap between the rotor and stator is arranged orthogonally to the axis of rotation and features a flat shape and high torque compared to normal radial gap motors.
As the magnetic circuit is three-dimensional, a powder magnetic core is suitable as the motor core.

Powder Magnetic Core

These motor cores are manufactured by pressing soft magnetic powder with an insulating coating.
This product features a high flexibility of shape, low eddy current loss and the capability of forming a three-dimensional magnetic circuit, which enables downsizing and high-torque motors.

Titanium-based MIM (Metal Injection Molding)

CP-Ti and Ti-6Al-4V are available as titanium-based materials for MIM.
In addition to standard grade* Ti-6Al-4V, titanium-based medical grade material according to ASTM F2885 is also available. It has higher fatigue strength and elongation than the standard grade.
*JIS Z 2551

DLC and TiN Coatings

DLC is a surface treatment that combines excellent features such as high wear resistance, low friction and biocompatibility, making it ideal for mechanical parts and medical device.
Our DLC coating is characterized by high bonding strength as the most important property and long life durability with thick coating thickness.
TiN coatings can be used for medical device electrodes, with pyramid-shaped irregularities to increase capacitance.

Metal 3D Additive Manufacturing

The BJT (binder jetting) method provides sintered products without molds.
The system can be used for small-lot production and shapes that cannot be manufactured using MIM.
Also, reverse engineering enables products to be modeled exactly like the original.
When the BJT is tried for MIM prototypes, we will support you up to mass production.

Sintered Porous Metals

Porous metals with sponge-like pores are produced by sintering.
They are highly functional materials with various properties through the pore morphology, pore diameter and porosity.
Three-dimensional shapes can be produced by pressing and MIM.
